"Towards Using Inertial-Based Motion Capture Systems for Ergonomic Assessments" presented by Howard Chen, PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Iowa Abstract: Inertial-based motion capture systems can unobtrusively capture human motion without being confined to a laboratory environment. However, the accuracy of these devices can be significantly affected by a variety of factors. This talk will focus on the application of inertial-based motion capture systems within the context of occupational ergonomics and potential methods to increase measurement accuracy.  Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa sponsored events. If you have a disability that requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please call the department secretary in advance, at 319-335-5935.
