IE Graduate Seminar: Lynnette Kenne

Lynette Kenne, lean management engineer in the Department of Operations Excellence at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, will present "The Application of Human Factors and Lean in HealthCare: Sharps Injuries Reduction." Lynnette Kenne is a registered nurse working as a lean management engineer in the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Operations Excellence. Kenne graduated from Mount Mercy University with a BSN and earned an MSN at the University of Iowa College Of Nursing. She has worked in the hospital setting as a bedside nurse, nurse manager, and nursing director within the Mercy Health Network.  She was introduced to Lean in health care in 2007 and has used the Toyota tools and principles since that time to improve the processes of health care.  She will talk about one of her current projects—reduction of sharps injuries among trainees.
